Merrell Womens Siren GORE TEX Hiking
I don't want to take these shoes off. They're soooooooo COMFORTABLE. And they're so pretty, too :) I got the gray ones. But seriously... they're the best shoes I've ever had. I'm a runner, and I'm always looking for the most comfortable shoes, and these have all my running shoes beat. They're also lighter than my running shoes, surprisingly enough. I normally wear orthotics, but I don't have to wear them with these shoes; I don't overpronate at all. Bottom line, they're absolutely amazing, and I've worn them every day since the day I got them. No blisters or anything of the sort. My feet are in heaven :)
As far as size goes, I normally wear an 8 or an 8.5, but I normally wear a 9 in running shoes, and a 9 fits me perfectly in these as well. My dad has wide feet, and he can't wear Merrells, so keep that in mind.
I haven't had them for very long, but they seem to be very rugged. And my boyfriend has the boy version of these shoes, and he wore them for a hike and through puddles and whatnot and he said his feet stayed perfectly dry. My mother also has them; she works at a nature center and hikes at least four miles a day, and she says these are the best hiking shoes she's ever had.
So seriously. BUY THESE. I'm in love.

I have had extensive bunion surgery on both of my feet and found the Merrell Siren Sport GTX XCR to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are great for exercising, hiking, and daily use. I can walk all day long without my feet ever hurting. They are a very sturdy shoe and will never wear anything else. Well worth the money. I highly recommend these shoes. They are also true to size.
BalasHapusThis shoe is fantastic. My feet are comfortable and dry. I know many people said they ordered a size larger, but I didn't and found it very true to size. With the gortex lining there is no need to break them in; an instant comfortable fit! This shoe is great for casual wear and/or a long walk in the woods.
BalasHapusMerrell is one of the better shoes names, and when I saw these in the store I had no doubt I would like these shoes. I found the fit to be true to size, though many claim they run small, I bought the size I normally wear in running shoes and the fit is like a glove. breathable and comfortable and worth every cent you pay for these shoes.
BalasHapusI have great difficulty with shoes because I need a wide toe box. I have a pet sitting business and walk a LOT and these shoes have kept my feet and legs comfortable. I'm currently buying my second pair before they discontinue the style.
BalasHapusI love these shoes. They are very light and fit wonderfully. They took me a couple days to get used to how light they are. They are different than any other 'sneakers' I ever had. I called and asked Merrell what the differences was between the 'waterproof ' ones and the 'GORE-TEX'(which are also waterproof) ones are. I was told that the GoreTex is a brandname and costs a bit more so Merrell has made their own waterproof material to use. BUT I was also told by Merrell, the Merrell waterproof ones don't vent as well as the GORE-TEX does. Get the GORE-TEX! I wear these every morning in high WET grass with my dogs , for over 2 hours. MY feet stay dry. Here is a hint on how to make sure they stay waterproof. The outside will get wet , but not go into your socks area. They take awhile to dry. Make sure they are completely DRY before using them in wet again. I put them on top of the water heater, works great to completely dry them. .
BalasHapusI actually purchased another pair so when these finally wear out (which will be a long time from now, they are well made) I will have another pair to use. Some reviewers said to buy a larger size, I bought my regular size, they fit fine. Also the tongue did rub just a couple of times the 2nd or 3rd time I wore them, but it went right away and molded to my foot. I have now started alternating the two pairs so I know they are completely dry when I start out in the morning. Sometimes if they are damp on the outside overnight (if I forget to put them on the heater after a really wet day) they will let a sllight bit of dampness in after about 1.5 hrs of use. It has never happened when they started out DRY.. even after 8 hrs.

The shoes arrived early. I was at first skeptical since they fit my foot in a different way. However, these are the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever had!

These seemed to run a little small though. My other Merrell's are 9's and in these I bought a 10.
I love these shoes. I have to be honest and say that I can be one of the pickiest people to shop for shoes with. This has been especially difficult because I am planning on going on a backpacking trip through Europe and could not find shoes that provided the versatility and comfort I wanted without looking too much like tennis shoes or hiking shoes. I saw these at a store and knew that they had the right look. What really won me over though was their comfort. They are probably some of the most comfortable shoes that I have worn. After wearing them (of course this did not include any blisters whatsoever) I would say that I will wear these every day leading up to my trip because are perfect.
